I’m Jill. Artist, illustrator, printmaker.
Working under the name Riverbird, I create nature-inspired linocut prints from my home studio next to the Penryn River, near Falmouth in Cornwall.
A lifelong fascination with trees and birds lies at the heart of my work. I am intensely moved and constantly inspired by the beautiful nature that surrounds me here in my native Cornwall.
I have been practising relief printmaking for over ten years but have started to work in a more full-time professional capacity since early 2021. I work from my own drawings and photographs, combining bold colours with a simple figurative style.
